A poor decision to make for a school that is struggling to maintain a student body. How in the world does it make sense to drop these programs? You will lose all of these student/athletes. Ridiculous

Keep LaCrosse. It started as a club sport then gain recognition and joined western league and beat bigger schools from both west and east coasts. Whittier has a history for Mens lacrosse. It would be a shame if rmeoved

100% concerned with the decision regarding golf and the manner in which this was conducted and communicated. I also support Football and Lacrosse teams if they are viable for the school, transparancy is needed regarding the funding and/or other critical path information that resulted in a decision to change the future of the programs.

These programs are important to the Whittier city and Whittier College community, everything about this situation was gone about entirely the wrong way by the College Staff involved.

Class of 1987. I agree 100%. The reasons for dropping the sports are illogical and threaten to advance a decline of the institution as a whole.

As a former Poet Football coach and father of a graduate of Whittier College I am so disappointed in this decision. I question the current leadership of ghe College. I believe the President of the college has used her position to impose her ideology and personal beliefs on this community.
New leadership please.

Very disappointed in Whittier. My daughter is a current a senior and has started her application to Whittier. She will not be applying now.
