My daughter is attending and we have several friends that are Alumni. This should have been shared with everyone of help was needed everyone could have tried a way to help b4 a harsh decision is made.

A shame to see what Oubre has done to this athletic department. The athletic department administrator don’t deserve this and clearly the student athletes don’t either!

If the president is not able to live up to her word of bringing in more funding then you should move on. If you let this decision pass it will just deteriorate the whole institution. Athletics will dissappear and then the students in general. The people making these decisions simply do not care about Whittier College. They will dissappear and move on and have no care about Whittier College and it's history after it dissolves from going on this path. Fight for our school and have a backbone. WC! Poet Nation.

What a tremendous mistake to have cancelled these programs. And the lack of communication prior. Many of those Student athletes brought funds to the school and fully paid tuitions.

This decision will impact your students physical AND mental health. Additionally, the school should expect to see a decline in enrollment. Some of these student athletes have built their entire identity around their sport of choice. It is a safe place and an outlet for them. Administration should take a closer look at the correlation between student life and academics.

This is embarrassment on many levels. What a black eye on a once highly respected school. I truly hope this is reconsidered after realizing the impact this selfish move has on so many alumni and future generations around the world.
