I just don't understand how companies can advertise such small cages as a good habitat for a hamster. They have to do something about it!

It is simply sad that Kaytee allows and offers hamster owners to buy this, as a " small animal company" selling hamster products to owners, it seems like they would have in mind a hamsters best interest. But these cages are simply like locking a hamster away in a tiny jail. It is unfair to a small defenseless animal who cannot speak up for help, to put them in such a cruel small inclosure, as a "small animal company" Kaytee should help be the "voice" for animals and the knowledge for new owners that one crittertrail is just not enough. I truly hope they will become aware of how many hamster lives there products put in jeopardy, or just simply how many hamsters are stuck unhappy in a crittertrail right now, I hope they change there marketing to best suit the well being of hamsters, after all without these wonderful tiny furballs, Kaytee would lose alot of sales.

I would definitely agree, the use of selling small hamster cages needs to stop and people need to be aware of this!

This is such a good idea!! Employees should also be asked to point out the new disclaimer when selling the cages.

Kaytee makes silent spinners.. yet they also make mesh wheels....... =( Kaytee knows the proper care yet they do not care at all one bit. (Pun not intended)

Kaytee, if you truly care about hamsters and their tiny lives, things need to change. Small cages are known to cause stress to hamsters, making them unhappy and a lot of the time more aggressive. Please either make bigger cages with a floor space of 360 inches squared, the U.S. standard, or higher. Or note that you need at least 4 of your cages to reach proper size. Thank you in advance and please take this into consideration. If you do care about hamsters and those tiny lives, do something about it. This could be counted as animal cruelty, this is because the hamsters are suffering due to not enough floorspace.

Adopting a hamster won't change the world but it will change the world for that hamster. All animals deserve proper care. Crittertrails are horrible.
