I agree that Crittertail's are way to small, hamster's shouldn't be treated differently than dog's or cat's and they definitely should not be kept in a cage that is so small.

Kaytee you must understand that the crittertrail homes are no where near the correct size for any hamster! I clearly understand its business but what's more important, money or death and suffering? They may be 'eye catching' and make everyone want one however you could could make your own LARGE cage for less than half the price. It's animal torture and it doesn't simulate the hamster in natural instincts because you can only put less than 2cm of bedding. Stop giving false information to people and don't bother redesigning but you need to make a WHOLE new cage to meet requirements of 360 square inches. Why can't you just ask people to buy lots of cages to make enough room and make them a little cheaper so it's not 60 dollars for 2 cages? It may seem stupid but think about how many lives of little creatures your saving if you actually care that is. Please listen.

Please Kaytee, hamsters deserve a good life in a good habitat that they can survive in if they were to live like in the wild. Money isn't everything, and I think we should do more to provide our pets, if not all animals the best care they can possibly have. Please add a disclaimer on Crittertrail Packages to inform owners that a cage like this is way too small for a hamster to live in alone, and must be the minimum cage size requirement for their region. ~ArcticHam

I agree with this petition, just because hamsters are small doesn't mean they deserve improper care! There are many inexperienced owners out there, and boycotting Crittertrails is a small step in the right track to showing those owners what a difference cage space is to their hamsters. This is for those who are small and furry, and need a voice to speak up for them!
