Petition To the Bridgeport Planning and Zoning Commission

The aesthetics of Black Rock is what makes it a unique & historic community. This building does not fall in line with those aesthetics due to the overall design, size and height. The parking adds another layer of unsuitability to this project. Please dont build this building and instead create a plan that works with our community, not against it.

Please do not build this rather ugly edifice on Fairfield Av in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport CT It is inappropriate in size and location. A very large concern that should not be ignored is traffic and pedestrian safety. All to often "studies" indicate that the project is safe in the studied area when in reality it is not. Sadly, once the structure is up and the "study" is proven wrong, the problem may be too late to remedy.

Please work together for the best outcome for everyone.

Where in the world will the traffic go? Too much already & keep in mind all the other apt. buildings going up in this area. Black Rock can't handle the traffic now

Common sense dictates that a proposal of this magnitude should be constructed in our Downtown District. If this isn't stopped now, we will lose what we have come to love about this simple seaport community.

I am extremely opposed to something this big on this property. It is not in keeping with the appearance of the neighborhood, and would created more traffic problems on Fairfield Ave and the surrounding blocks.

Whoever even entertained this proposal has no respect for our dignity or community character. Lets stop money grabbers from winning at out detriment.

Totally insane, if we wanted to destroy our community we would of asked you...and we didn't. You sneaked everything under old zoning laws.. You committed to work with the community, you didn't. Just another snake in the box...No regards to the people who live here. .Simply filling your pockets with the support on the convict who is currently running this city...

This is another example of money talks. This is going to add some much congestion. Courtland Ave is going to be nightmare. Not to mention the size. 52 units,,,really? I strongly disapprove of this monstrosity. Destroy my community. The developer is a joke. He said that they would work with the community. Liars, never happened.

I strongly oppose this development! The infrastructure of this comunity cannot handle such large wave of new residents. This type of developments pushed me out of Norwalk. It use to be pleasant town. Now it is just another Stamford - overpopulated nameless place. The transformation of Norwalk stared years ago- small. Now it is out of control. Don’t let this to happen to Blackrock! Traffic will increase, there is not enough green space/parks to peacefully enjoy free time. We don’t have enough space for kids to play, there is no dog park etc. etc.

Not adequate parking for each unit. And no setback from Fairfield Avenue. Too massive for size of lot.

The design is clumsy and would impede the quintessential beauty of the Black Rock neighborhood.

We just moved to Fairfield from our hometown Norwalk to get away from this very problem. Too much traffic, cars parked on all sides of every road, 30 mins to get from one side to the other and an infrastructure thats crumbling and struggling to support that constantly rising demand of more people. It's starts off slow, but before you know it, every neighborhood has its own mammoth apt/condo complex and your "small town" feel is replaced with big city vibes.

I object to this oversized development for many reasons, including the one-to-one parking allottment and the attempt by the developer to sneak this project under the old zoning regulations at the deadline. This development is not in the character of the neighborhood.
