Petition To the Bridgeport Planning and Zoning Commission

No. It's too big. Demand better Bridgeport. We live here, the architect and developer don't.

This building and number of units is too large for the neighborhood plus only 52 parking spaces. It does not fit the area

I am very concerned that this building will be five stories tall. The overflow of cars is a safety concern that will lead to congestion and safety concern for the residents of St. Mary's and Black Rock.

A huge UGLY building like this will ruin Black Rock. There are already too many of these in the area. The Canfield development and the 2 other massive condo complexes by the train station are hideous and cause traffic congestion. These narrow roads were not designed for all this traffic.

No need for special permit to be approved, the building should conform to the very reasonable current zoning regulations. Consideration for the surrounding homes and businesses should be at the top of list when deciding the buildings size and appearance.

Too large and way too many cars for parking and on our roads

Too many ugly cookie cutter condos are being built in this neighborhood and the obtuse use of land that could be multi family home being used for parking is ridiculous. these are condos area completely unwanted by the neighborhood and destroy our sense of community just to cater to those from out of state

The scale of this project will be highly disruptive.

The build should be three stories with at least 1.5 spots per unit with additional parking if there is retail on the first floor.

My voice is one of many OPPOSED to any type of modern high rise apartment building on that lot, or any other tiny parcel of undeveloped lots in Black Rock. This is not NYC where we need yet another store with tiny apartments above it on every SQFT of undeveloped land. The beauty of our hidden gem is the quaint-town vibe you cannot find any where else in this part of Connecticut. We do not want another developer barging into our community to build tiny apartments that will be rented for way above and beyond what our community can already afford, decrease the value of the area, drive up rents and increase crime within the neighborhood. I would love to see 2 beautiful 3-story ‘multi-family homes’ that fit in with the aesthetics of the area such as the 2 Victorian homes at 2937 & 2947 Fairfield Ave. This is a historic neighborhood. To build anything other than homes on this lot would be an atrocity.

This is opposed by the Black Rock NRZ and many neighbors. It is utterly out of place in our neighborhood and will be a detriment in every imaginable way.

Adjustments need to be made to this proposal. It currently will have a negative impact to all that make Black Rock such a wonderful place to live.

A structure of this size is much too large for the allocated space and does not take into consideration the community around it.

I am opposed to the size of this structure. I would not be opposed to a smaller apartment complex.

As a lifelong resident of Black Rock, I believe a development of this height, mass and scale is totally inappropriate for this location. The proposal submitted by the developers is without redeeming merit and should/must be denied.

The structure is far too large for the character of the neighborhood. It's out of scale. The building size and box like shape have no complimentary form with its neighbors. Furthermore, the inadequate amount of parking will force a minimum of 30 to 40 cars out onto quiet local streets for parking or "storage" causing inconvenience to dozens of adjacent homes.
