Petition To the Bridgeport Planning and Zoning Commission

There is not enough designated parking. All surrounding streets are going to be inundated with spill over.

52 parking spots for 52 apartments is not NEARLY enough. Most residents will have two cars, not to mention guests/family members, etc. A complex this size would need 100 parking spots at MINIMUM. Where are the extra cars going to go? Onto the streets in the neighborhood which are already crowded with parked cars as it is.

This is a bad idea, we don't need anymore housing . This project will decrease the value of the homes WE have worked hard to by. Just so no.

While we certainly encourage development and growth in our neighborhood, this development is simply too large and unsustainable. Let us think ahead to the future of Black Rock. The charm and community feel of this neighborhood should be preserved.

Parking and traffic accidents are already an issue in the neighborhood. A large building like this would ruin the charm and peace within the community. Look at the area near Fairfield Metro for example.

Please reject this proposal in consideration of the objections expressed in the petition.

I am not opposed to development but I would prefer that they stay within three story ordinance

Since the recent development in and around Fairfield Metro Train Station (movie theaters) and the condo development further down Fairfield Ave (near veterinarian) the neighborhood is very noisy. We can now hear the highway and the train let alone the increase in traffic

Obstruction of view, lack of parking

I live at the intersection of Courtland Avenue and Gilman Street, and deal with the constant traffic in the area. Adding the large number of units will add to the terrible congestion in the area and the sheer size of the building is not in line with the "village-like vibe" of our unique neighborhood.

I am concerned about the size of this project for a very important corner.

I am worried about safety regarding the traffic this will cause. That should be a major concern!

This looks exactly like the development previously proposed on that lot about 5 years back. They needed a zoning variance to build that height. Looks like a resubmission on an old failed plan to me.

The traffic and size is completely inappropriate for this corner. This is not helpful to Bridgeport or Black Rock

I live in Black Rock and I agree that this is too out of character and large.

Will bring too much congestion to the neighborhood and people will need more parking..

I say no the three building… not a fit

Just too big for the avenue in that location. As is, driving down Ffld Ave is hazardous enough with two lanes and street parking usually full.
