Letter to Danish Minister of Health against dismissal of Peter Gotzsche

Consider your actions.

The Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen benefits enormously from its association with Dr Peter Gotzsche who is one of the most respected scientific voices in medicine today. He ought be treasured by your institution. Thank you for reconsidering and reversing this possible dismissal.

It is important for the advancement of science that we hear and listen to dissenting voices

Dr. Gotzsche's integrity and scientific procedures are models to emulate. He should not be punished!

Dear Minister, I have been Minister in the Government of British Columbia. One of the scarcest resources available to elected decision-makers is scientific objectivity and truth. Dr. Gøtzsche has inspired thousands and enhanced Denmark's reputation for over 2 decades. Do what you can to discourage a leading Hospital and University from penalizing a doctor who tries to protect sick people and other humans from ignorance. In North America, we rely on Europe to have learned from the experiences of Galileo and Semmelweis, and protect us from the demagoguery of Trump or the vested interests who want to destroy the best of the Cochrane Collaboration. The pharmaceutical industry did it's best to destroy our academic group at the University of B.C. but courageous elected leaders have stood up to them here in Canada. Stå fast! Peter Gotzsche is a voice of reason and deep understanding. In this environment that has become deeply compromised by corporate interests such people are desperately needed if our institutions are to maintain any relevance whatsoever.

Dr Gotzsche provides an important service to the scientific community in Europe

Peter Gotzsche is one of the most in the know people on the planet - hes my go to person for common sense- i dont think theirs anyione out there who speaks more of it than Peter- more down to earth, or a more common/more identifying language- i trust him , and what he says, because of the honesty and earthiness of his language.

Man skal være meget forsigtigt at ikke blande " Drug-company controlled studies" med "evidensbaseret forskning". Interessekonflikt skal erklæres. Pharma er god at skjule alt. Peter Gotzsche har evidensbaseret forskning, at der er en fejl i systemet. You need to have independent people like him to counter the pharmaceutical companies drive for profit. Shame on you minister for removing an honest Dr who speaks the truth and is trying to save people from the pharma mafia.

We need dissenting opinions like Oeters.

You have made the wrong decision, more investigation needs to be done before making a rash decision such as this.

Integrity & research are desperately needed in medicine.
