Letter to Archbishop Lucas re: Fr. Steve Emanuel

We support Fr. Steve and pray that he may continue serving the body of Christ.

I am in full support of Fr. Steve. I continue to be amazed at the poor decisions that are made at the archdiocesan level.

I believe in Fr Steve. He is a great priest!!

Father Steve has my full support. He is beyond dedicated to his community and schools and he does not deserve this. I stand with him and always will. Father Steve, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Fr. Steve is not only a wonderful priest, but also one of the greatest men I have ever known. I think we deserve a better explanation of what a “clinical evaluation” means. If he has been cleared of any wrongdoing, what possibly needs to be evaluated?

I stand behind Father Steve - he is an incredible person and priest.

Fr. Steve is a wonderful priest and educator. Our family is in full support of Fr. Steve.

Having known Fr. Steve for years since he was our chaplain and teacher at Gross Catholic High School, I credit him with so much of my understanding and love of the Catholic faith, and I know that so many of my fellow classmates and students from Gross Catholic feel the same. Fr. Steve has a unique gift of being able to meet students (and adults alike) where they are at without judgement as they sift through questions of faith and life. He has selflessly given his life to service of the Catholic Church and educating young people in the faith and I pray that he allowed to continue his vocation.

I fully support Father Steve.

Fr. Steve has done so much for our community and me as a person. Our church without him is a dimmer place.

I met Fr. Steve when he was at SCOTUS and my children really enjoyed his class. We need priests like him to guide our young children. I pray that you allow him to continue his ministry. God Bless Him and his family!

In my eight years as a Director of Religious education for 7-12th Grade Students I continue to be disappointed in the decisions made by the Archdiocese. I pray that the hearts of our leaders within the Archdiocese are touched by the Holy Spirit to do what is right and just for our Priests.

father Steve has been someone that I often think about having such a positive impact on my life. Not only in my faith but in day to day life. In high school he was someone who just knew you were having a bad day and would take the time to solve it with you. It would be a loss to the church and future students to not have him around.

Father Steve have one of the best homilies at my grandfather funeral. He connect with my family the way no other priest could.

Prayers for Fr. Steve

I have known Father Steve since I was in high school. I’ve always admired his dedication to the Catholic religion and his desire to help people. Some of the best sermons I have ever heard have come from Father Steve. How proud his parents must be to have raised such a wonderful son and a follower of Christ!
