Maintaining state chapters assures individual endocrinologists greater input in shaping AACE. Any time you have over centralization of a national organization you have less individual endocrinologist empowerment.

As a past state chapter president, I think the state chapters are important. They foster comradery, excellent education a forum for endocrilogists to discuss matters of local importantance. AACE should foster and assist in this endeavor.

I think strong chapters as AACE have been the key to make AACE a strong association and be in touch with its members. Keep
It that way!

Knowing many of the Founders of AACE, I can state confidently that the current direction of the organization is fundamentally at odds with its founding purpose. I am distressed and disappointed with the decision to destroy the regional and State Chapters that set the stage for its success.

I have never seen a published explanation of the reasoning for the nonsensical divorce of the chapters from the national organization. I suspect some financial skullduggery is behind these maneuvers. The Board and Officers may be at legal risk if this turns out to be the case.

I agree with the letter, and I'm shocked at the timing of the bussiness mtg.. This organization was created to support the clinical endo and the chapters and legislative and regulatory committee were integral to this.

An open line of communication makes us arrive at good and fair decisions.
Let each of our voices be heard.
More power.
