I stayed in Birgu and found the ferry to Valetta invaluable - my only regret was that it ends at 7pm outside of tourist season!

Totally agree with this point. We need to make use malta and gozo's easy accessability from sea all easily reached and very short time. Important that ferries utiliesed are the fast ferries.

The ferry between Bormla and Valetta and the one from valetta to Sliema are working really well but there are no connections between the 2 which makes it impossible to go to Sliema from Cospicua by boat (it takes 1.15 to go). I would use a service to go to work everyday of there was this connection. Thanks

Use what we are blessed with to ease congestion on the roads. Venice does it why not Malta?

Why not use Hydrofoils (as they do in the Greek islands) for a fast service to Valleta/Sliema or wherever they're needed?

Better increase the trips soon before Regional Road chaos begins!

One small tunnel through Valletta that doesn't connect to Valletta or the bus terminal is not the solution. A properly planned two tunnel system with many stops between St julians and Kalkara is needed. Currently the owner of Hilltop gardens is about to be given I believe a 65 year lease on this little 800m tunnel which cannot/will not hae access for other boats, or even bicycles or pedestrians. The project is certainly eligible for 90% funding from EU structural funds and on that basis is very profitable. There is also no other solution to traffic and people transport for this entire area. The effective contract about to be given away is planned to cost 10 million and will by their own figures - pay for itself in less than five years !! Outrageous. Better it is a public/private partnership, properly planned and one that has shares available to the public and that operates with an open book policy.
