It is time to severely limit the overflights of tour helicopters on all islands in Hawai'i. There is no other industry, whether in tourism or other forms of business that is allowed to cause this level of stress on all the people of Hawai'i. No area of natural beauty is immune from the bombardment of noise, whether it is our live volcanoes, sacred maunas, or sublime waterfalls. There is very little serenity left to us and the creatures of our islands. If these were tour buses roaring down streets or into pristine natural areas, it would never be allowed. Why do we continue to allow air tour operators to pollute Hawai'i nei in this way.

I never would have moved to Leilani Estates if I knew I would be forced to endure constant noise from helicopters circling my house, dozens of times day after day after day after day... This is not a peaceful, private sanctuary anymore. It's more like living in a war zone! Helicopters should not be allowed to stalk and violate residential areas.

STOP the NON-STOP noise from helicopters hovering over our 'HOMES!' Our homes are supposed to be a 'safe' place where we can have 'peace & solitude.' Now, we are living like animals in a zoo with hundreds of people flying in unrelenting, loud, annoying helicopters over our homes on a daily basis! We have suffered enough already. Now, the helicopter companies are adding salt to our wounds and profitting hundreds of thousands of untaxed dollars by exploiting our fragile community. We NEED to be left alone so we can heal and try to get back on our feet. The helicopters are similar to mosquitoes in your bedroom while you are trying to sleep! For the sake of everyone in Leilani, PLEASE make them STOP! Or, make them pay the 13% taxes other businesses have to pay and use some of their profits to help rebuild & repair all the destruction they are exploiting!

Helicopters are ruining our lives. The noise is in our house, our shop, our yard and we can't get away from it. After hours of this, it's unbearable and we retreat into rooms where we have white noise to drown it out. Nobody should have to do this in their own home in a residential community. They never stop and they never go away. it's been 5 loooonnng months

The constant noise is life changing. It is not reasonable to expect landowners to be disrupted day in and day out.

I live 1.5 miles up from fissure 8, the nonstop helicopter noise is horrible. This has been my home 41 years, married, husband passed away and children born there. I did not move next to an airport or helicopter site. PLEASE STOP!

The multiple helicopters circling over Leilani Estates every single day - this is noise terrorism! Unbelievable that this is allowed.

The one downer in an otherwise beautiful day generally is the air traffic over Leilani. One or two, sure, no biggie. All day, everyday is too much for anyone to take. Compassion, respect, reasonable request.
Time to restore quiet to our island home
