I agree. The Governor's currrently proposed plan does not address the problems of these schools or the reality that you cannot change directions every year or two and expect any results. Let's keep politics out of education for a real change and give the change that's already happening a chance to work.

My school used to be a PZ school. That was the worst stress that my co-workers and I have ever experienced on the job. I remember some co-workers going home and crying due to the exhaustion and stress!

All children deserve the chance to reach their full potential. That means a good education. Students will not benefit from the great education being offered if the effects of poverty are not taken into account. Charters and private schools are not the answer. They do not provide a better education they only start with better equipped students. Level the playing field. This petition is a step in that direction.

As a teacher of 36 years and an Association President for 7 I was appalled at DOE's unilateral decision making. As if DOE is comprised of professionals who actually know these students, teachers, and admin of these schools. I thought, in Delaware, we were working together.

Better opportunities for all and just not the rich who are getting richer. We need to better distribute wealth to provide equal resourses to all who NEED not all who are born into it.

This is the latest boondoggle offered by the DOE to students & teachers that promises help with no guarantees as to how the plan will be implemented and no clear source of funds. Sound familiar?
