We just found out that the ice rink is closing for the seasonthis comingSunday,February 23. Since it's beenso cold and snowy, and the playgrounds are still closed, we're hoping thatStuyvesant Town/Compass Rockwill keep the rink open for another two weeks,until March 9.This has been a great amenity for thechildrenwith the ice skating, figure skating and hockey classes. It's alsoa great gathering place for Stuyvesant Town/Peter Cooper families during the dark cold months of winter.

In a city where it's often difficult to find a true community gathering this rink is a tiny oasis for the kids and families alike. Please reconsider keeping it open!
Please keep the rink open. It is the perfect place for the kids to work on their skating skills and bond with/meet new friends.
Keep it open! The kids adore it ... winter has been hard on the kids, many playgrounds are closed ... it's a wonderful weather-appropriate activity.
My son loves the ice hockey clinics every weekend morning. We want to keep the rink open!
This is huge resource for our kids. A couple of weeks extra would be so wonderful. It was open last year until much later.
The kids would love more rink time! Thank you for being a great part of our community!

It's been too cold to enjoy the rink. We couldn't get our seasons passes' worth of time. A couple more weeks would make a huge difference.
