This park is one of the very few places in Durham that allows off leash in an open area, dogs are able to run freely and are not confined to a small boring space. The full park should be off leash and not just some areas.

I bring my dog to this park all the time. I leave her off leash like many other people do. I think that this is a great area to do this. It helps to keep harmony at the park because many people have dogs that are protective while on leash. It also helps to socialize dogs since they won't feel threatened or confined.

We have a high energy dog who needs to run as do many people. To give our dog the exercise she deserves the park should be off leash as it is one of the only dog parks well sheltered from any roads and is safe for off leash

It is a great park and giving more room for the dogs to run off leash would be wonderful.

Definitely should be all off-leash. Dogs will then be free to interact naturally without the influence of their owner on the other end of the leash. The result: fewer altercations!

It's safer to have all dogs off leash in a place like this as a lot of the dominant dogs become aggressive on leash when passing a dog that challenges them. They act completely different when dogs can meet off leash

Do durham region a favor and make harmony valley dog park leash free! The whole city requires leashes, give them a little greenspace to call heaven!
