Let's Get the Doobie Brothers into the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame!
I recently got back from the Rock-n-Roll Hall Of Fame and while I had a great time and loved the place, I am shocked that The Doobie Brothers have not been inducted (along with America, Chicago, Hall & Oates, Journey and Stevie Ray Vaughn among others). While I imagine the induction "criteria" is very "subjective" and "political", clearly a strong case can be made for inclusion of the DBs based on popularity, longevity, record sales, hits, musicianship and songwriting...hell, the R-N-R HOF should use "Listen to the Music" as part of their marketing theme. I am in my mid-50s and Dobbie Brothers songs are part of the soundtrack of my life as well as the lives of my friends and family. I am confident that once we get started, we'll be able to get thousands if not tens of thousands of names. They deserve it and hopefully if all goes well, they will be included in the R-N-R's class of 2014. Cheers! - TGD
