People currently drive to either Red Deer or Lacombe to allow their pets to run and get the exercise and socializing they need to be happy and healthy. We see a definite need for this to be implemented and available closer to home.

This is so great. I've been wanting so start something like this ever since I moved here. Such a dog loving community needs a place to let them run free. :)
So many families live in this town, and a big chunk of them have dogs. This is a great thing that we need, and would possibly draw more people here as well.
I have a large dog and it's difficult to drive to red deer all the time for him to have proper exercise to top things off, he gets car sick everytime we drive long distances so it makes it even harder to get out to red deer. Blackfalds has so much room to have a beautiful off leash park it would make this town even better!
Would love to see a dog park but even more would want to see the users be responsiblle and pick up aftter their dogs Imagine yourself if you worked for a Town or City and were tasked to clean the dog park. I know how I am doing my yard with one dog Would you be willing to clean apark up after hundreds of dogs?
seeing taxes go up every year and more schools and playgrounds are built, but for those without kids like us all we want is a dog park! !!!

This would be such a great addition to our already great community and would cut down on polution from driving to the next town to take my pup to the park!
