I’m 51 & have been watching since I was 7. I have seen many people come & go. Doug SHOULD NOT BE ONE OF THEM!!! You keep making bad decisions.

What stupidity is taking over this shot w! 41 years and some newcomer thinks it’s perfectly ok to let one of the foundations of this show walk away?!?!? Get rid of whomever made this decision and keep Doug! This is ridiculous!!!!!

He has been a friend sense I was 12, and he and many other from Y&R, have helped me through out my life. I am more than willing to be there for my friend/ big brother Doug, so here is my vote. KEEP HIM ON THE SHOW, HE IS ONE OF THE MANY THAT KEEPS THE SHOW GOING.

I've been watching this show from the day it aired why on earth would you let go of such a beloved character? Shame on you if indeed this is true. And you wonder why everyday more & more people are not watching this show any longer you keep taking away the most beloved actors from us. Good Luck Doug hopefully they come to their senses?

I think it’s a disgrace that you fired a fine actor like Doug. He gave 40 years of his life to the y&r only to get the boot.

I can't fathom a reason why Doug would be let go. He has been on the show since the early 80s, and is one of the best loved characters, and real people, there is on this earth and on Y&R. You will crtainly lose viewership with such a bold and agregious move. BRING DOUG (aka Paul Williams) back as this character not some other character or alter ego.

I used to watch Y&R with my grandmother as a little girl. I remember Doug when he was young and started on the show with his now wife. Loyalty means a lot. You should be loyal to those who are loyal to you.
