Doug Davidson was one of the three best actors ever on that show. He gave his heart and soul,.Solid..For forty years. This is disgusting. Absolutely horrific how he was discarded like some piece of trash. You are going to lose the majority of your audience now. Rethink this. Fast.

Y&R is one of the few soaps left.....please don't make us lose it,because the writers aren't giving the care and love to the history of this wonderful show, and it's wonderful characters that have endured for most of our lives....

Please keep Doug Davidson on the show. The show won't be the same without him. I tune in just to see his work. He's a wonderful actor and after 40 years he deserves more than to be 'let go'. Letting Doug go will be a terrible mistake and a very bad decision.

As a long time viewer, of 42 years (since I was 12 watching with my Grandma) this is appalling, that Doug Davidson would be let go. They are sacrificing the depth and quality of the show in an effort to save money, by keeping mediocre players to replace true actors who are experts at their craft. Also, the entire show is dropping in the ratings due to bad storylines, substandard actors, and from writers not listening to fans and what they demand. Although there have been times where I have disliked certain storylines, or certain writers, Never in all of my years of watching, have I ever been this upset over losing my soap. I feel like either the end of the soap is coming (cancellation) or I will choose to stop watching, like so many others have (as the ratings show) which is something I never thought I would ever do. Very sad. Reinstate Doug Davidson, we a losing a true professional.

I've watched Y&R for over 40 years. Doug Davidson is a pillar of the show and of the soap opera world. Doug deserves to continue his well established role and keep the viewers happy.
