Leave Doug Davidson alone. He's a great actor and certainly don't deserve the undercover, behind his back deal he's been handed. Let him retire on his own when he is good and ready to do so. We love you Doug for real.

How and why would you get rid of your veteran of 40 years of service. You had a 3 year contract for the soap, but at the rate you are going, you will no longer be on the air. We are demanding the character of Paul Williams back and new writters to the soap.

I don't think that the new detective will fit the new role like Doug did because most of the people that watched the y&r got use to him.Mostly because older people don't like to see the older actors get cut.

I have watched Paul on Y/R since I was 16. I am now 60. Paul is the reason many watch YR period. This Ray Character is a horrible and to replace Paul w him is a JOKE. CBS should fire MAL. Terrible terrible show since he took over. If Paul goes. So do I. Shame on CBS

I want see Doug and the other wonderful actors who have been on the show for years. My mother and grandmother watched the show I grew up with it. I strongly dislike the direction the show is going.

It is unbelievable that CBS would be this callous(not really) I have watched y&r from the beginning. I know longer am interested in their story lines when they push back the best actors for younger talent. Shame on CBS.
