The Y&R canvas should always include the main characters. Mr. Davidson is a main character. Creative writers can always develop wonderful storylines for great actors such as Doug Davidson. He needs to stay at his Y&R home. BTW, he probably deserves a raise.

I believe in change but not everything new is improved. You want to keep the fans well the actors are family! We invite them into our homes everyday we followed them along for so many years and familiarity goes a long way and keeping the connection. I'm sure somewhere along the line they could give Doug a new position a new transition and a new storyline that would keep them on the show. Too many people have come and gone that were great actors on this wonderful soap opera. This is one more reason to keep Doug to keep the connection. Through The Years dance have come and gone as well because of the changes that ousted some of our favorite actors and some have giving up their loyalty to the soap opera in frustration. This could be the last match for those of us who have been watching since day one and our kids and grandkids who are glued to The Young and the Restless! I hope they rethink this idea and let us have some sense of stability well still bringing on new people!

Keep Paul’s story alive. Will definitely stop watching Y&R if you get rid of the older actors and their story. Your writing has really suffered the last years. I almost stopped watching but your veteran actors keep me watching. If they are gone so will your audiences.
