It's not wise to let actors that's been on this show for so long go. He's great at what he does. Let him stay too many new faces not always the right answers. The older cast help build and make this show.

I've faithfully watched this shows for the entire run, and am so disgusted for the treatment shown so many of the most beloved characters/actors on the show. They are the ones who make the show what it is. Paul Williams is the glue, or the anchor that holds it all together. He is the calm during the storm. The voice of reason in the face of hysteria and drama. Shame on the PTB who did this...

I have wayched this show since the beginning and I am shocked to see this great actor was let go,you do have for the moment the best actor on that show,you writers need to step back and think about this huy name Doug Davidson aka Paul Williams,you will lose fans plus change of different soap,yes I will petition for this man that has been so loyal to you for 40 yrs, from Donna

They get rid of the great actors and keep the bad ones!!! I have been watching since I was little and I am almost 53!! May be time to find another soap!!

Davison is a fine actor who has not been treated well on Y&R. There have been times when he is not seen very much. Now they let him go without even meeting with the actor and treating him respectfully. A lot of the main characters on the show don't get much screen time. I hope another show picks him up, and I will watch him there. Y&R has definitely gone downhill. I hardly watch it anymore, including today. All you see is Victor, Nikki. Billy, Phyllis, and her daughter. I am so sick of these characters!
