I have watched the show Y&R since the very beginning and Doug Davidson definitely should continue as Chief Williams. Besides he is a terrific actor. Just to many new faces are not what we want or need.

I understand wanting to appeal to the younger audience, but do they not realize the older fans are the ones home the most, and the ones watching the show daily? I have lost interest in this show for the most part, mainly because of the lousy story lines and loss of good characters/actors. So disappointed in the loss of Doug Davidson. I love the Paul character, but the writers have failed to give him a decent story line in years, their fault, not Doug's.

Keep Doug Davidson on Y&R....Paul Williams is a legacy character and Y&R won't be rhe same without him. Doug Davidson is an asset to the show, as he is talented, handsome, and he has played the character of Paul with, charm, warmth, humor, wit and compassion. He made Paul likeable even when he wasn't always so likeable. It would be a shame to see Doug leave Y&R, and a shame for Paul to be written out of the show.

Keep Paul! The bond that the audience has to Y&R has been developed over the years and has stood the test of time. That is what makes it so special. Don’t destroy that nostalgic feeling.

I’ve watched This show ever since I can remember and that’s been 40+years and love it! But this breaks my heart Doug has been a favorite not to mention extremely handsome! Please don’t let him go!!

I have been a true fan of Doug Davidson since the inception of his character. If you force him to leave, you are telling the senior community that our lives, livelihood, and opinions don’t matter. It is heartless to let this talented man go. Shame on you Y&R executives. I guess it’s time to start watching other shows and put Y&R to rest.
