I don't really watch, but I think that he's been on the show that many years and has dedicated his career and life to the show he should stay on it. He's obviously been a talented and valued member of the cast for 40 years he needs to be respected by the show. KEEP HIM ON THE SHOW!!

Doug Davidson should remain on the
Young and the Restless. The new character
Rey over acts and his lack of a connection to the history of the show is not a good quality for a main stream character. I am very disappointed in the show’s writers.

It's a major disrepect to the loyal Y&R fans not too mention the Actor Doug Davidson by simply replacing his character with a new one who barely started !
It shows such lack of true storytelling
There's room for both " Paul Williams " and " Rey " to work together .
I feel a major Injustice has been made & Mal Young should be fired for his actions !

Mail Young needs to rethink letting Doug Davidson go. He has a fan base that has watched him and the show for 40 years that will be definitely gone unless something is done. You do NOT let talent like his just leave. Serious mistake.....

As a little girl, I would go to my aunt’s house after to school and wait for my mother to pick me up when she got out of work. My aunt never missed The Young and The Restless and her favorite person was Doug Davidson, Paul Williams, on the show. Years later, when I was an adult, and my aunt was in her 80’s, I wrote to Doug at CBS, and he was kind enough to write back to my aunt with an signed autograph photo. She was beyond thrilled. Then in the late ‘90’s I went to Tucson and met Doug in Person and bid on an autographed Y&R script at the charity event we were at. My aunt was so thrilled. Doug has always Bremen gracious, kind, and compassionate to his fans, and he has portrayed his character with heartfelt hard work as the actor he is. He is made of character, integrity, honesty and respect. He deserves better than this from CBS. If the powers to be cannot find it in their hearts after 40 years of Doug being there for them, then I hope General Hospital or another show will pick him up knowing that he is definitely worth everything he has to offer and he can bring a lot to the table no matter where he goes. He is a wonderful actor, a great human being and has the ability to act beyond the scope of the scenes given to him, as evidenced in winning an Emmy for the role of Paul Williams.
Please consider Doug for the best role in the world. He deserves it and so much more.
