Doug deserves to be on Y&R. He is one of the main characters in the entire show and his story lines should reflect that. Shame on whoever decided not to renew his contract. Bring him back!

This man has been on this show for 40 of the 45 years it’s been on the air. What does CBS do to reward him? They fire him! Next year is Melody Thomas Scott’s 40th. Are they gonna fire her?

The treatment of veteran actors on Y&R, especially Doug Davidson, has made the show I have loved for 25 years intolerable to watch. The current writers obviously have no respect for the actors or the fans. I’m not watching again until this changes.

To the writers & management that be, on YR, you’ve all made a BIG mistake by letting Doug Davidson go. He has been a loyal employee, & has been loved by so many fans, over the past 40 yrs. You are causing ppl like Eileen Davidson, Christian LeBlanc, and “Kevin Fisher” to leave, when it should be YOU, the writers & management who should be terminated!! Throwing us a few scenes w Jess Walton, and her forever maid “Esther,” just won’t wet our appetites. Sorry, but until you return some of these vet actors, YR has lost this fan of 35 yrs!

Bring back Doug as the head of the gcpd. All these newbies are awful. Keep the veterans, these are the ones we want to see. Newbies suck.

Keep Doug on the show! I've been watching show since 1972 and we are losing too many of our loved characters. I guess I will quit watching, who's next, Nikki and Victor? Ever since Jeane Cooper passed away, the show had gone downhill.
