Been watching since inception. Doug is a staple. Give him better roles. He's a superb actor and should continue to be part of this historical soap opera! Long time watchers don't want to see him leave! Miss Cricket, too. Lighten her up and bring her back more often.

I stopped watching months ago. I used to record it everyday and watch it after work, but decided it wasn’t good enough to spend my time on. Bring Doug (Paul) back!

Oh, Y & R, you disappoint me so. Paul is an iconic character. I just can’t imagine your soap without him (though Doug Davidson doesn’t get much screen time). Don’t get rid of your iconic characters and by the same token don’t get rid of good actors - I almost quit watching when Michael Muheny, Billy Miller and Greg Rikkart left as when Michelle stepped out of the role of Phyllis and when Delia was killed. If you want to keep loyal fans and your jobs, you will reconsider your decision.

Been a fan since 1994, and really feel the absence of the key original characters. Seems like the story lines can modernize and add younger characters without excluding the likes of Paul, Cricket, Jill, Neil, Victor, Michael, Lauren, and Gloria

Paul can't go anywhere! Who would Nicki turn to besides Jack, how would Christine make appearences, who would hold up the moral compass of the GCPD...I could go on and on
