I am thrilled to be signing this petition! There are actors that have truly made The Young and The Restless, the soap opera that everyone has watched and loved, for so many years. These actors shouldn’t be treated like a disposable commodity! It’s even worse when they talk about the actor, still being on the show, but don’t want to pay that actor! Please don’t watch Y & R, while they are doing this! I’m not, and I have watched it for 30 years!

Give Doug his role back. Retire “Rey”! Doug deserves this and so do life long fans of Y& R. His character is essential to the integrity of the Genoa City Police Dept and his acting skills are superb. Doug Davidson is as integral part of the show as Eric, Peter & Melody are. It’s a shame if you do not bring him back.

Please show Doug Davidson the respect he deserves as Chief Paul Williams on The Young and The Restless. An actor works years for Veteran Status and respect. Doug has done that and deserve a good storyline.

We need to keep the presence of as many of the original characters or those who have been an established part of the show for many years for the stability and foundation of the show or it'll be another show and not Young and the Restless just some sort of spin-off that that has the same title.

This fine actor who has devoted 43 years of his life to Y&R deserves to be on full time. Paul is important to the history of this show and I look forward to day he returns home to where he belongs.
