This is no longer a dress code issue. If a Satanist (or anyone of a religion that isn't considered "socially acceptable") is wearing something that is in association with their religion, they would get dress coded for it. But it wouldn't be the same for a religion that is "socially acceptable". In conversation with Mrs. Hienrich, principal of Gabrielino High School, claims that a student wouldn't be dress coded if they wore something that promotes Christianity/Catholicism because it would be a violation of their freedom of religion. So why can't it be the same for a student who wants to wear a pentagram on their shirt? Satanism is recognized as a non spiritual religion by the U.S. Government, so would that not be violating students' rights to freedom of religion as well?

Together, we can protect everyone's freedom of religion, and all I need is your help. Please sign this petition to protect Gabrielino High School's students' rights to freedom of religion and take a leap into ending religion bias in not just public schools, but in the world.

I have been reviewing the testimonials shared in the comments regarding individual experiences with school dress policies. These accounts provide a clear picture of how selective enforcement impacts our student body. I am currently preparing a formal letter to the administration to address these inconsistencies in policy application.

The momentum generated by this petition confirms that many of you hold deep concerns regarding the inequitable application of school policy. Your engagement provides a necessary foundation for our upcoming discussions with the administration regarding religious neutrality.

I bet none of you are petitioning to actually wear satanic tshirts. You’r just arguing about the wording in a handbook for the sake of complaining. You could just wear an upside down crucifix and claim that "it's so when I look down i'm reminded that jesus loves me.” Problem solved

I don't really care, but everyone should be able to believe in what they choose.

Sure, why not? Through that rule had me laughing, it also felt like to me a violation of our freedom of religion.

This needs to be fought for. Stop being hypocrites. It's a basic right. We need change now.

All religions must be accepted. Not just the ones that society finds acceptable.

support 100%. Ive always thought the same thing growing up, it even confused me as a kid. Why can people wear crosses, but not pentagrams? Its a mess. No religion should be considered socially acceptable over another. Everyone should be able to promote their beliefs, and if the rules are against anyone expressing religions in schools... why dont the Christian shirts get dress coded. Its a very common double standard. It doesnt matter what you believe in, its a word called EQUALITY
