Yes! A proper boathouse on the Lower Merion side of the river would be a wonderful community resource!

Given the restrictions placed on young people this year, we owe it to them to create more outdoor athletic opportunities.

An LM boathouse would save money for the school district, create a venue for an LM community rowing program and would be more convenient for the rowers and coaches

It is unfathomable that a community like LM, with the oldest Public Schoolrowing program in the US, has its kids row out of a dilapidated warehouse.

I'm new to the area but it sounds like a great idea. I love the rowing activity on the river.

Practically a necessity.

Our LMSD rowers currently row out of what appears to be a dilapidated warehouse in a mud-caked parking lot that is inconvenient to get to and that is not in our district. We have a perfect resource in Flat Rock Park here in Penn Valley. Building a boathouse here is the only sensible thing to do.

I am a Harriton crew alum and also the mother of a current rower- keeping our kids rowing in the neighborhoods in which they live is not only sensible, but could provide long term cost savings while cementing a place for our LMHS/HHS crews.

This way we have more time on the water and are not stuck on a bus all day

I'm a rower who needs a boathouse near by so we don't have to take a bus so far out everyday
