I support a LM Township Community Boathouse for the entire LM Community including dragonboats, rowing, canoe and kayaks.

It just makes sense that the kids have access to a boathouse closer to the schools and within the district.

As a former Harriton rower (over 25 yrs ago) it would be great to have this resource in our backyard. It's a great sport.

LM having a boathouse and better usage of its riverfront is a no brainer. Given the stature of LM in the community and the great history of Crew in the schools, its pretty remarkable that this is even an issue.

I support the concept of a Lower Merion Community Boathouse. My daughter rows for Lower Merion HS and we should have this in our Township to benefit our children.

our rowers need a boathouse! My son rowed for LMHS only one year, but in that time our family learned so much about the sport, it's benefits, the camaraderie of what it means to the team, school, and community! Our coaches, Kirk and Amy Beckman are two hardest working and supporting experts and mentors our kids could hope for. Let's make this happen!

Rowing is both a physical and mental sport. As a former collegiate rower, I know first hand the lessons it teaches are invaluable. Rowing teaches hard work and the ability to learn not to give up when you face what seems like the impossible. Lessons all teenagers should learn in this day and age.

I hope this is approved! I was a coxswain in college and recently rediscovered rowing. I currently row out of Bachelors but would love a boathouse in our community!

There is no other team sport like crew; it supports both personal integrity as well as team focus. It's a sport that will last a lifetime, it is a fabulous workout and kind to your joints unlike most other team sports. In addition, the boathouse could be a money maker for the township.
