signing should be something which every child, deaf or non deaf, should learn. it is never to early to develop communication and language skills.

everybody should have some knowledge or experience of signing in schools. It may seem like such a little thing but to deaf children and families, it's massive and I don't think people actually understand until it's happened to somebody close to them. Well done Danielle, and to everybody else who has signed this petition!! :) xx

very important my son is deaf and it would make a big difference if people were taught the basic BSL everyday words. I feel it's more important to learn sign than a foreign language!

BSL is a recognised language, let's get it in schools so all kids can communicate regardless of disability or nationality - English, French, German and Spanish are taught - why not British Sign Language???
