The MIAA has cancelled the 2013 Sectional meet due to the impending storm. This poses a big problem for high school swimmers across the state. It was the last chance for many to qualify for states, people who were so close to qualifying now will have no chance to swim at states. For all seniors this was their last chance to swim at sectionals and represent their school now its taken away from them. We want to swim, give us a chance. The MIAA has postponed sectionals for all other sports? Why can't they postpone ours or move it?
WE're all from different towns and schools but WE all want to swim!
Give us Swimmers a chance let our opinion be heard!
Quick Update: I originally set the limit at 1,000 and in 24 hours we had over 800, so I have increased the limit to 1,500. Please keep sharing this so we can fight for a chance to swim at Sectionals
***Another Update***: 2/9/13 I emailed the petition to the MIAA along with a message.
