Students who have received a placement should be allowed to work to support themselves financially or be provided a stipend. This allows for some financial security during these difficult times.

Nipissing always says they want to best opportunities for their students and want to give them the best chance of getting jobs in our chosen fields, so let us get our foot in the door and get meaningful jobs in teaching.

For school and program that place is so much importance on being equitable to our future students this blows my mind. I understand these are extenuating circumstances however it’s also extenuating circumstances for us as well. Practice what you preach a Nipissing

Let it be an option. Covid has hurt everyone finically, allowing us to supply would go a long way to helping those in need survive.

Students should be allowed to opt into the alternative placement if they would prefer to gain valuable work experience, earn money, and help with the provincial teacher shortage.
