John Handley High school is directly restricting our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We, the people, are stronger than the tyranny that befalls these halls. As the great Thomas Jefferson said, We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal under God. Why do teachers and staff have the freedom to order/bring in outside food? Who dares to threaten our right of both not starving and being happy with our food? We bought this food with our own money! Thus, I have begun this petition to overturn the following tyrannical laws:
1. Food may not be brought in/seen after the bell rings (No matter the circumstance, being late does not constitute the right to make a student starve and thus inhibit their learning!)
2. Outside food may not be dropped off even by parents (In ELEMENTARY school they even allow this. Soon, we will be going to COLLEGE - do we not deserve to be treated as adults?)
The rules listed above are unfair and unjust. Thus, I encourage all of you to sign this petition to further guard your rights within Handley High School. I am sick and tired of walking freely in the great USA, and the minute I enter this school, I feel like I'm in North Korea (down to people TAKING MY FOOD.)

The administration is still refusing to meet with us but our persistence is making them nervous. Post the link on your Facebook page and text three friends to keep the pressure on. Send an email to the school board today demanding they stop seizing our lunches.

The administration is finally taking notice because of your refusal to back down. Head over to the school board website and email your representative to tell them these food restrictions must end. Post the link to this petition on your Facebook wall today so we keep this momentum climbing.

We are young adults and we should be treated like it. We are not in middle school anymore. Most of school lunches is gross. There should not be a problem with us teens going and getting food that we actually like.
what I have to say about this is we should bring in food from other places because we are older and not little kids no more. so we should bring in foods from other places. Say like if we missed lunch we wouldn't want to stay in the office at school and eat we should be able to bring our food with us to other classes

literally why do they care so much if i have a subway sandwich?? just let us eat in peace
