It makes no sense at all to make them remove these windows when other hotels local to it have also had them installed.

We live in the 21st century, we don't want to stay in hotels with draughty windows. East Beach Hotel is a charming small hotel, if you walk along the promenade you will see many establishments with windows made from various types of material. If it is maintenance free then it will over the years it will stay looking good and not be an eyesore to the area.

I think the hotel looks great and the council should support hotels who are looking after the appearance of their hotel which benefits Eastbourne seafront.

I really support the hotel owners.
It's hard to run any business this day and age .
The council should let it be as they have it now .

This is insane. The hotel is one of the smartest on the seafront. This is persecution of small business providing employment for local people and upholding the tourist industry. To enforce this would be a terrible injustice.

Petty bureaucrats strike again. Surely we need to keep our coastal resorts alive by using a bit of common sense.

It is a hotel that faces the Sea, UPVC must be more practical. If UPVC was around when it was built they would certainly wouldn't have designed it with wooden windows.

They allow stupid gold paint on a beautiful pier but not this? Please leave this hotel alone it's been done in the best possible taste and looks very elegant. Let the windows stays and leave the hotel to continue with it's business. Thanks you.

This hotel was not in a good decorative condition when I first started coming there. since Heidi has had the hotel it has much improved and the windows are a much needed asset. Let them stay.

This is ridiculous, when in comparison the overdevelopment of the Kings Drive Site opposite the DGH was allowed. It is ugly and not in keeping with the surroundings.
