Let common sense prevail in this situation. There are peoples lives to consider here.......the family and staff in particular.

They should get with the times .the hotel looks great all seafront hotels should be allowed to do this ,guests won't freeze in the winter and heating bills will be reduced .

It is essential that such busness are well supported in every way possible to ensure local stability and make it more attractive for visitors to stay! Double glazing can only be a benefit. It would be naive not to support this hotel.

My family had to close our shop in Eastbourne due to the outdated 'guidelines' Eastbourne council set. I don't want anyone else to go through what we did!

As an avid conservationist, I feel fine buildings like the East Beach must be preserved for as long as possible, what better way to do this than sympathetically replace parts of the building that have not stood the test of time, with modern materials that can only improve the integrity and longevity of the structure. Aesthetically these windows are perfect. We must bear in mind that this is an hotel and a business intended to provide comfort and hospitality for its guests .

Walked along the seafront today with my family and must say the east beach hotel looks really smart and clean, I think the council need to put more effort into more important things then a hotel that is well looked after,
