planning laws at there best / people sat on planning boards that don't know there arse from there elbow /they should have some sort of background in the construction industry before they are allowed to make decissions that effect peoples lives

Eastbourne council are completely out of touch with the modern world and should be supporting local businesses not trying to put them out of business !!

What a ridiculous situation. Its a lovely building and makes the area look well kept. Surely new UPVC windows are better than rotten wooden one. Madness

Take this further to the local government ombudsman (http://www.lgo.org.uk/) as it stinks

This hotel needs to stay in order to bring Eastbourne into the 21st century! After appearing on 'The hotel inspector' the owners have made every effort to attract more customets/business to Eastbourne!!

This is bureaucracy gone mad but I detect an element of skullduggery as well. More power to your elbow, fight on.

Silly rules that are damaging to Eastbourne's economy. Having PVC windows in not damaging to the look of the seafront. Having tired, rotten empty hotels is.

No doubt a certain long standing a certain long standing councillor is responsible for this absurd ruling.

Planning panels should be made up of people who live in the local community and they have intimate knowledge of the benefits that this hotel brings to local people.
