If the actions by that Councillor are as stated, then he should be barred from Public Office. The planning should be granted and this seems to be what most public opinion supports.

This is a beautiful hotel with friendly owners & staff let them use upvc windows as long as it ain't out of carater for the building

There really is no limit to the depth that corrupt local Councillors will sink to. Seaside towns seem to be worse! appeal to the planning ombudsman!

Yet more Councillors showing the stupidity that appears to be a requirement to hold such positions, the hotel looks well kept and clean, cannot see what the problem is, other than perhaps someone on the council is not going to get the kickback they were expecting from a window company.

Eastbourne Borough Council, please do the right thing. The hotel looks lovely and is safe, so please do not pressure them into spending unnecessary money and in 16 staff possibly losing their jobs.

It is incredulous that a council decision in a tourist area should jeopardise a business, a livelihood, local jobs and a possible destruction of an amenity of advantage to the town. Common sense has to prevail in this instance.

Really cannot understand eastbourne borough council. These new Windows look so much cleaner, brighter and maintainence free.

Like life's not a hard enough struggle for everyone in hospitality at the moment. Get a grip and keep the Hotel open, thriving, bringing business and employment to Eastbourne.
