Utterly ridiculous and whomever is behind this should be ashamed.
Waste of time, resources and energy.
Let's hope common sense prevails; failing that, the High Court.

Why when all the owners tried to do was make improvements and very nice it looks too. Boarded up Hotels are not good for any resort and what about the livelihood of the poor owners. Sort this out Eastbourne Council

Stop trying to destroy small businesses with this Political Correctness. Unaffordable. You'll just close Eastbourne.

This hotel is one of the best looking hotels along the seafront, I do not understand why the windows still seem to be a problem. There is a hotel along the seafront with boarded up windows which looks awful, why don't the council try and sort this hotel out rather than trying to sort a hotel that looks great along Eastbourne seafront and also looks fantastic at Christmas time!

The hotel looks much better with new windows. Come on let them keep them they will bring extra trade to Eastbourne helping everyone. How can you allow the pier owner to do as he wishes yet a hotel making changes to help save a building, make hotel heating more economical and make the seafront area look nicer be made to take windows out. It is ludicrous. All the other hotel have double glazing

I think this hotel looks lovely. it's family owned and adding an asset to Eastbourne's tourism. Why are the council not concentrating their efforts on hotels such as the derelict eye sore just further down the road.

It is important to maintain history and the look of a building. However, it is also important to support family businesses and not make unrealistic demands. As long as the windows look good does it really matter.
