I hope common sense prevails. How do we learn from our past if it has been erased. Our history gives us pride and a sense of belonging. A beautiful statue can't hurt anyone.

Build new monuments to memorialize Black citizens's contributions to Glynn County history. This Monument has great historical significance to remember the South's struggle against Northern confiscatory taxes and oppressive tariffs, the right to independence, sovereignty, free markets and family values.

I have walked by this statue for 89 yrs and it has never bothered anyone until now by mostly out of downers. If it bothers you so much then leave.

I retired here from the north. Three of my ancestors fought for the union with Pennsylvania volunteers. I did not move to Brunswick to change it by bringing my views or ways from another state. This statue is a memorial to the 300,000 southern soldiers that perished. Very few of those soldiers owned slaves. Let's learn from that horrible war.

Please do not take down our history because the BLM and ANTIFA thugs want to erase the honor of those who fought for our country.
let us honor our fallen comrades
It's called "history" for a reason.
