Let Oscar retire with the pension he earned

Oscar was honestly the best part of this school. His welcome every morning made this place tolerable. Give the man what he deserves.

I hope the school board does the right thing and honor their commitment to you as you have honored yours for the past 25 years.

Oscar is a great guy who has worked here forever. He always interacted with the students and we enjoyed seeing him throughout the day!

My two sons went to school in garwood and all these years Mr. Oscar was always helpful and welcoming . He rescued my both boys and drove the bus to UCVTS through the years

I'm really upset to hear he is being denied retirement benefits. Two short months from retirement. He has been a huge asset to Garwood. Garwood needs to support this man.

Oscar has always been one of the kindest people I’ve known. As both a student and later a paraprofessional at Lincoln School, I always looked forward to seeing him and talking with him. His dedication, compassion, and years of service have made a lasting impact on so many people. He has truly earned and deserves his pension

Oscar has not only been an exemplary member of our schools staff he has been someone who has made our kids feel safe and seen. The choice to not renew his contract is not only horrible & unjust it is not reflective of this town’s community spirit. I am honestly ashamed of this and hope it is rectified immediately.

Oscar was the nicest staff member at the school. The superintendent should learn a lesson and show the same kindness. I know Dr. Quigley would have, this is a disappointment to the town

This is so wrong. I graduated from Garwood school 16 years ago and Oscar still remembers me and checks in when we run into each other. He is amazing at his job, takes wonderful care of the staff and students, and deserves his full pension.

When I was at Lincoln school, Oscar was always so kind to all the students. If anything was ever broken, they would always call Oscar to fix it because they knew he was a dependable person and someone they could rely on. Not giving him his pension after all he’s done for the school is outrageous and unfair. Give Oscar what he deserves!!
