Oscar has been at Garwood Schools since I was being educated there, and was a constant presence in the schools that allowed me to feel welcomed and supported. As an adult, Oscar always remembers previous students like myself when he sees us. He has spent the last 25 years taking care of the school and the children in our community with pride, and it is so disappointing to see someone who has poured their heart into our school district and our children be let down by the place he has devoted his life to.

Oscar is a corner stone of the Lincoln school community he watched me grow up and had a smile on his face every day as he said “what’s up buddy” for all 9 years I attended.

I am a former PTA/BOA member and I respectfully asked that Oscar remain employed for the final two months needed to secure his well earned Pension. He has been a trusted steady presence in our school and has kept our schools clean and safe. A true stable of this community. Whatever happened to the “small town with a big heart”?

As a former Lincoln School student, I still remember Oscar going back 20 years.
Every morning, we were told the same message: “Work hard, be the best you can be, and be kind to one another.”
Oscar lived those words better than anyone else in that building, hands down.
This whole situation is absurd and completely out of step with the values we were all taught to live by at that school.
Do the right thing. Give the man his two months!

Oscar was always so kind to me as a student, there was never a day where he wouldn't say hello to me at lunch. It is honestly horrible what Lincoln School have come too. The recent changes in principle and superidentents have completely ruined the school. It has been on a down ward path ever since Dr Quigley retired. Justice is deserved for Oscar because he dedicated 25 years of his life to Lincoln School.
