IMmune Deficiency is a fatiguing battle. Please allow this young man to walk with his class. You are in no position to judge those with chronic nvisable illnesses. I am, because I was diagnosed 3 yrs ago. Please show empathy and compassion to this young man.

If this were a college, he'd be allowed to walk, even if he were 9 credits short of graduation. A 1/2 credit finished within 2 weeks of the end of school is certainly reason enough to let him walk.

The things kids like Noah face daily are hard enough without ruining the rest of his life by not getting a diploma he will have hard work ahead.

Noah should not be punished for an illness that is not under his control. If anything, he should be honored for overcoming his struggles in order to achieve his goals.

Why is this even an issue? Here is a student who wants to graduate and go to college and the school is punishing him over a half of a credit? This is crazy!

As a parent who has had a kid graduate from your school, this is sad and unfortunate that your inability to make an exception has driven the need for a petition signing. You could have and more importantly, should have, Pulled Noah aside and whispered to him that, technically we should not let you walk because of half a credit, however, given the circumstances, please join your class and congrats. Instead, residents of the Verona area school district now know that VAHS is not as thoughtful towards its students as we once thought .
Thanks
James

LET NOAH WALK!!!! What if this were your child??? Google hypogammaglobanemia & you walk in Noah's shoes for 24hrs and see if you don't have a change of heart. Not too many people would make it out of Noah's shoes believe me I KNOW because I suffer every single day too with this challenging chronic illness that you have to continuously fight for your life just to see tomorrow! Have some heart people & LET NOAH WALK!!!!

As a patient with hypogammaglobulenemia it is amazing that he was able to just be two weeks shy attending regular classes. This disease leaves many of us unable to attend school or acively work. It is a disease that is defines by the SSA as a disability. This s why he has a 504 plan. Unbelievble they are doing this to him, the school has no clue how hard this kid is fighting to have some semblence of normal and denying him to walk with his class is punishing hm for his disability. Not rght

He's going to meet the requirements and should be allowed to be with his class. Despite his illness he has done what he needs to do and you should show compassion and class. Great job for speaking up class!
