This isn't a case of a student who didn't put in the effort to complete his coursework on time. You are punishing Noah for something completely beyond control, not to mention that he is already working to complete the graduation requirements. Let the kid walk and try to learn from this situation. Otherwise, what incentive is there for future students facing medical issues to even bother trying?

It should never of come to this point! Care about the person as a student and a human being. This is a special event that everyone should have GOOD MEMORIES about!!!!!!

Hi. I have CVID, hypogammaglobulemia. I am sick. Just like Noah, I can't always be present for everything everyone needs of me. That said, my family understands and wouldn't dream of isolating me or making me feel bad for an illness beyond my control. This is a good kid with a bad disease and it will affect him the rest of his life. Don't be the kind of people who can't understand or make the necessary amendments to your policies for a person of a legitimate handicap. He will finish his work, his mother's swears it. But let the kid walk with his friends, have those memories and feel a part of his high school one last time. Send him off right into the world, because he's got many other hurdles ahead of him.

I am a pediatric nurse and hear all kinds of excuses of why kids have missed school. This is a valid reason and he is in the process of completing the credit that he needs. Let Noah Walk!

My daughter will be a senior next year, and has the same diagnoses. It's hard enough for these kids to deal with all their medical, let alone stay up with their school work. 1/2 credit that will be completed, seems to be an overreacting school. Let him walk!

From an HR and personal side I am completely appauled by this decision not to allow him to be with his friends! Does it matter he is completing the class requirement a couple weeks later? Treat him with dignity and respect! This goes against all principles of what the school has taught our kids over the years! Kindness, compassion, helping one another through tough times, working through it together, we are all one! This has caused such a negative situation for all involved including the entire Verona Community and surrounding area. This should NOT be the focus! Everyone should be enjoying this time but so many people are consuming their day to get resolution! It comes to basic ethical and moral principles! #endthenonsenseandchangethepolicy! State in the policy if an child is enrolled to complete the course(s during summer school, not more than 4 credits (maybe more or less), they are able to take part of the graduation ceremony!

Give him the diploma once he completes the class this summer. Why add any additional stress to a kid who is trying to do the right thing.

I am so disappointed by the behavior of the Verona School District administrators. Stop bullying your students. Children learn by example not words. Your behavior is saying that bullying someone with a medical condition is OK. Let Noah Currier walk!

I call foul. The decision makers here should be ashamed.

Noah has a rare disease which is a violation of his HIPPA rights as well as ADA to not allow him to participate. I think these authorities need to be involved in this situation as his rights are clearly being violated. What a disgrace that a young man who has done everything and aspires to do something with his life be publically shamed.

This school is on a power trip. Noah has worked hard to fight his illness and complete his education. I know schools have systems, but it's important to remember there are people attached to those systems. Be reasonable and remember it's your job to serve your students. #letnoahwalk
