Please allow this young man to walk with his class. He will still earn the credit. Please have a heart. Please.

Let Noah Walk!! My Nephew Conner has this same disorder and I would never want something like this to happen to him.

More appropriate would be, not just letting him walk, but giving a special acknowledgement to someone who worked to keep up despite his health setback.

I have seen people walk with their class that needed more than just half a credit! Have a heart. This boy has been working his entire life for this. Give him a break!

A medical problem is not a discipline problem. Exceptions to rules need to be in place for a medical situation like this. It serves no one to kick a boy when he's down when he's been dealing with a serious chronic condition. He and his family deserve to have this special moment. Going through the medical challenge is enough...there shouldn't be an issue like this to make matters worse.

There is no reason to be this punative. Obviously he wouldn't receive a diploma but the blank holder could be handed out at the ceremony. No excuse for this kind of retaliatory behaviors from educators who should be applauding how hard he has worked.

I am the mother of 2 immune deficient children. They miss out on so much and work so hard just to have a little normalcy or to accomplish things that someone healthy can do. It's only right to let Noah walk!

They should hold Noah's accomplishments up as an example for others. There
Is NO reason to hassle this young man or his family.

Please do the right thing and let him walk with his class. If he is like all other patients with PI, he has given his ALL, way more than every other student, just to get to where he is. Are you really going to punish him for an illness that is out of his control over two weeks?!?!

It is a medical condition out of this young man's control. He should walk with his class. He can receive a blank diploma and then receive the actual once he completes the 1/2 credit class.

I have a special needs child under an IEP and includes heart and immune issues as well. We were fortunate enough to have support from our school district and he walked with his class last week. I really hope that they reconsider and let him walk knowing he will fulfill his requirement in a mere two weeks!!
