For someone with a medical condition this serious, being a half credit shy is an asinine reason to not let him walk with his classmates. He has obviously worked very hard to not fall further behind. Walking during a high school graduation is a ceremony to recognize the hard work of the seniors. Diplomas are given to show the graduation requirements were met. Many colleges and universities allow students to walk with their class as a ceremony and administer the diplomas upon completion of the required credits.

Let him walk! My son was allowed to walk at his HS graduation even though he was a half credit short as well. He was enrolled in a class already and his school counselor is the one who made it happen. Verona should be embarrassed...

Let Noah walk! My son has an immune deficiency and I know the challenges this young man has faced. It is so awesome that he has made it this far. Let him walk then finish his half credit. Go Noah!!!

I have q chronic rare disease like Noah. It's a challenge to face every day and things that people take for granted. The fact that he is finishing high school and only two weeks behind is amazing. Let him walks, life's hard enough and he has worked hard to get where he is!!!!!

God bless this boy. You never know the battle, some people fight daily, just to be somewhat normal.

My 5 year old grandson has the same disorder. He trails behind due to fatigue, especially after his weekly home infusions. On the outside these children look normal but they truly have a disability that the general public doesn't understand. They struggle to keep up with their peers, and we as adults should make accommodations to allow them the ability to participate in normal activities even if they fall short of others. These children give more of themselves than the healthy child, yet can never feel as though they are equals to their peers because of their shortfalls. Let him walk, what is the harm, if he doesn't complete the 1/2 credit he is the one that looses. If he wasn't a fighter he would have not even tried this hard to be at this point just to fall shot again in life. If he is not allowed to walk, he is being punished for having a disability, and not being recognized for the effort that he has given to get so close. Which by the way is way more than a normal child has ever been expected to give of themselves. Let him walk. He suffers again alone without support. My prayers to him and his family for compassion, and health. Let him walk.
