As a patient with Primary Immunodefiency, I am aware of the challenges involved in keeping pace with a healthy world. Noah should be applauded for graduating, not penalized because of approved accommodations due to his ongoing health issues. Let him walk!

As an educator and someone who also deals with this disease personally, I fond this absolutely against what I try to teach my students. He has made it through all the hoops put in front of him by this disease and the school -- let him walk, especially since his mother says he will finish the work quickly!

This is disappointing. High school is supposed to be about support and helping lift students up, instead this school has decided to embarrass and humiliate this poor guy. Noah has handled this all with a level of class we could all learn from .

Noah should be protected by his 504 plan that allows him extra time to complete his work. To not let him walk could be viewed as discrimination against those receiving special protection under the law.

They let students walk for all kinds of other reasons. Give him a blank piece of paper but let him walk.

The Administration and staff have failed this young man. If he has more time, let him walk with the others, finish the credit needed and receive his diploma. When I graduated everyone got an empty diploma jacket, we picked up our diploma in the office another day. No one was none the wiser that anyone didn't actual receive a diploma. No embarrassment by anyone, wonderful and memorable event for the entire class.

I also gave hypogammaglobulenemia, and was an award -winning teacher. I taught for many years while under treatment. The mistreatment of this student is not only unconscionably, it is illegal. A better adjective - despicable. Does the school really have the money to pay for the litigation and subsequent judgment for violating his 504?

He should be able to walk and receive an empty folio and then receive the paper diploma upon completion

I can't believe the school is telling a student he can't walk all because half of a credit!!! Way to TRY and take away a students greatest accomplishment.

Let him walk! He should be applauded for only having 1/2 credit to complete.

I find the way this boy has ben treated by the administration absolutely appalling. Putting him in a squad car for wanting to walk? How disturbing!
