Mr. Fish IS the best teacher in any high school in the county. He has an amazing influence on all of his students and connects with them personally in order to help them learn better and to encourage them to work harder in school. He is by far the most influential and amazing teacher that I have ever had. What is happening is out of hand and needs to be reconsidered. If the administration is going to punish him for use of profanity, they should take a look at how their coaches speak to students and then decide who deserves the punishment. Easley High School will be GREATLY reduced in quality without Mr. Fish.

Everyone deserves a teacher that makes them feel as they care!! I do not know this man personally, watched this on the news. I have a teacher that I would fight for, so I will fight here too!!

Amazing. From the comments alone, I can see what an influence this man was in the classroom. SD of Pickens County should be ashamed of themselves. Just wow.

My son Josh Dunlap attended Easley High School - I've heard nothing but good things about this teacher. Stop being ridiculous. It's hard enough to find good teachers.

Most highschools require kids to read such books as Cathcer and the Rye, Fahrenheit 451, Grapes of Wrath, and Of mice and Men, yet they fire him over one curse word and mild sexual connotation? Ridiculous.

Greg Fish is THE greatest teacher at EHS. No other teacher challenged me and made me think like Fish. It makes me sad to think future students could miss out on his classes, which are more of an experience than a class. Let the man teach, he's one of the few who does it right!

Excellent teacher of literature and mentor. Literature is all about using language and imagery to evoke emotions and understanding. If people take offense to something as little as this, they are going to have a hard time making it in higher education. Trigger warnings aren't needed here.

Punishing a teacher for teaching is ridiculous. If someone is insulted or furious over a word it's obvious they are desperate for a dose of maturity. Let the teacher teach. Let the students learn. Isn't that what school is supposed to be about?

I think the students are doing a wonderful thing for someone who apparently is a brilliant teacher that cares about his students.

Mr.Fish has brought his students in for breakfast here at The Starving Artist Cafe He is a wonderful, caring, and very intelligent teacher. We need more teachers like him, his students relate to him and he inspires them. This is a great loss for City of Easley, South Carolina

SDPC has gotten really out of hand as of late. I personally thought the school's quality of teachers began to decline while I attended back in 2006-2010. However the choice to remove one of the few good teachers remaining, especially over him doing his job exceptionally well is just, for lack of a better word, stupid.

I attribute all of my success to teacher's, professors, and other influences who cared enough about my future to show me reality. Mr. Fish has clearly just done that for a bright group of young individuals and, now, because of this censorship, his creativity and influence will forever be stifled.
