As a former student of Fish's, I can attest to the impact he had on countless students, inside and outside of the classroom. During my senior year of high school, I looked forward to his class like I had few others before. His teaching style, while unconventional, thoroughly engaged me and the other students in his class; whether it was enthusiastically dissecting a poem, pushing me to excel in the classroom, or simply being brutally honest, there was always something to look forward to when I stepped into his classroom. Fish's teaching, and his impact upon his students, is an indispensable part of Easley, high school and otherwise. Without him, Easley isn't Easley - it isn't home.

I think the school is very selfish for letting him go in the prime of the school year when the students looked up to him as teacher and mentor... Get it together Easley high!

Just because of one complaint doesn't mean you have to punish the rest(hundreds) of his students and the lives that he has changed and saved.

I never had Mr. Fish when I went to Easley, but that did not stop Mr. Fish from getting to know me. My sister had him and I know he was a great teacher. Let him teach.

I think it's absolutely ridiculous to get rid of one of the highest quality and most well loved teachers at a school for using the entirety of the English language to teach his own course. If the student body had an issue with him, we'd say something.

This teacher impacted so many lives. He is with no doubt, one of the best teachers Easley has ever had. This is ridiculous.

You're limiting your child's opportunity to enjoy learning and to find perspective if you want Fish to stop teaching. He is, without a doubt, the best teacher anyone who has had him will ever have the pleasure of learning from. His lessons aren't just literary, he teaches growth--as a student and as a person.
