Mr Fish's class was the hardest, but best class of high school. It's been more than 10 years, but I will never forget the enthusiasm and passion he had for teaching. I'm unaware of why he is not being allowed to teach, but his absence is a huge disservice to Easley students.

All 3 kids had Mr. Fish. All 3 graduated from Clemson because of this man and ALL 3 STILL name Fish as their best teacher! Shame on Easley High School!

Mr. Fish was one of the best teachers I have ever had. He motivated and inspired me to be a better student and I have used what I learned in his class ever since. Mr. Fish also wrote me a college recommendation, and I am now a Clemson honors graduate. Mr. Fish deserves to teach because I know he will continue to greatly impact future students.

Mr. Fish was my absolute favorite teacher at Easley High. He inspired me and really taught me to love literature through active reading. I majored in English in college, largely due to the influence he had on me in this subject. He is so passionate about what he does, and that is rare. He needs to be in the classroom.

Always heard amazing things about this man. Everyone loved him. I never had him as a teacher but as an EHS graduate I know he was loved by all. This just shows how soft our society has gotten and that there is no loyalty anywhere now a days. If he was fired because a student complained about his teachings and was offended I'm sure they could have moved this kid from the class or here's a nutty idea, suck it up and finish the class. Life isn't fair and people often have to do things they don't like or don't want to do. That's life. EHS obviously should have stood behind their fellow teacher and backed him up instead of being so afraid of what others think and give him the axe because someone caused a ripple. This is absolutely pathetic.

This is crazy! Mr. Fish made my highschool experience a pleasure. You need more teachers like him not less! The influence he had on me and my life are not limited to English but music and a way of looking at the world from outside the box. He is souly responsible for my love of Hemingway and Chaucer but made it possible for the scarlet letter to even remotely be interesting. The way that he taught Great Gatsby was inspiring. Whoever thinks that it is a good idea to not have Fish working at Easley anymore is a moron and is hindering so many young lives from experiencing the true love and fascination with words in a book. With school administrators and staff only worried about Sat scores and meeting the curriculum, no one stops to think about how our lives are affected by those teachers that have truley made an impact on us. I only pray my son is blessed enough to have a teacher like Mr. Fish in his educational years!
